Isla
The sky above the glacier burned with streaks of orange and violet, a late alpenglow spreading over the icy expanse like a painter’s final flourish. Isla tightened her jacket around her as the evening chill settled in, her breath curling into faint clouds in the crisp air. The soft crunch of snow under her boots accompanied her approach to the flickering campfire Rían had built. Its warmth offered a small, defiant glow against the vast, frozen wilderness that surrounded them.
