Arisyn

The Fortress loomed like a shadowed titan, its black stone and wood swallowing any hint of light. A sparse scattering of greenery clung to corners, an odd defiance against the windowless abyss that pressed in around Arisyn. Her chest tightened at the weight of it, as if the walls themselves sought to smother her. Yet, if she was to escape this place soon, she’d at least carry tales worth telling. More than stories, though—she needed answers, a way out. Somewhere in this tower, there must be a clue, a map, or a whisper of how to leave Felgren. With that purpose spurring her, she set foot on the massive spiral staircase, its countless steps carving a path to the tallest of towers.
