Chapter 4 — Chapter 4

I hate mornings, days, really, any time of day when it's light out. I feel uncomfortable, but to my delight, today it was raining, just pouring down endlessly from the sky.

After casting a spell to protect myself from the moisture, I walked more cheerfully towards the visible shops. If it's raining this hard, there won't be much business, as customers stay home. That means prices will be lower... and there won't be any crowding. My mood was uplifted, and the first thing I decided to do was check out the antiques.

"Oh, lady! Good day! It's as if we were waiting for you!" the merchant beamed, quickly pulling something out from under the counter.
